Does Hugh Jackman Really Eat 8,000 Calories?

I love Hugh Jackman as an actor… but some of the diet requirements he has said he does over the years along with many other celebrities to get JACKED and ripped for movies roles, are pretty far fetched and Exaggerative!

How Hugh Jackman Gets RIPPED for Wolverine Roles?

Hugh Jackman is known for his impressive physique, especially when playing superhero Wolverine in the X-Men movies. To achieve his muscular build, he reportedly consumed a whopping 8,000 calories per day. However, some people (people that have any knowledge on fitness) find this pretty difficult to believe. In this article, I’ll cover the concept of consuming 8,000 calories a day and whether it’s really possible.

Eating 8,000 calories a day

8,000 calories a day is a lot of food – in fact, it’s more than 3 times the recommended daily calorie intake for the average adult male. To put this in perspective, 8,000 calories is the equivalent of eating roughly 8-10 Big Macs or 40 slices of pizza in a single day. It’s understandable why many people might find it difficult to believe that anyone could consume that much food (while aiming to become RIPPED).

Is it really possible?

While 8,000 calories a day might seem like an impossible feat, it’s important to consider that Hugh Jackman had a team of nutritionists and trainers working with him to achieve his physique. They would have carefully calculated the amount of calories he needed to consume based on his body weight, activity level, and other factors.

So, with the above being said, I don’t believe any smart nutritionist would be giving Jackman so much calories to eat. Regardless of his training, that amount of diet (even if its all healthy meals) would make him gain significant fat gain too (not just muscle).

So, it’s worth noting Hugh Jackman would have been consuming a diet high in protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates, as opposed to junk food, which meals the sheer amount of food would be much larger making it far more difficult to eat within a day.

The bottom line

For most people, consuming 8,000 calories a day is unnecessary and could lead to weight gain (mainly fat gain) and other health issues. It’s always best to aim for a balanced diet that meets your individual needs and goals.

So, although I love Hugh Jackman… I find it very hard to believe that he consumes so much calories daily, especially when much larger individuals such as The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), claims to only eat as for at 5000-6000 himself in a bulking phase.

Overall, I and many other fitness enthusiasts will never know for sure, but the likelihood is severely on the low end.

STILL LOVES HIS MOVIES THOUGH 😃
