Often people assume they are gaining a lot of fat but in many cases, it can be that you appear that way due to being bloated.
1. Fizzy Drinks!
Consuming a lot of fizzy drinks (even zero-calorie ones) can make you appear fat because your stomach is bloated with gasses… I call it the balloon effect.
2. Not Consuming Enough fibre
Fibre can be VERY helpful for us removing waste from our body. Many people don’t eat enough dietary fibre, which causes them to not ‘go to the bathroom” enough. Many people only go ‘number 2’ every 2-3 days, which is way below what it should be.
Think of it this way, if you’re eating 2000-2500 calories daily…but only ‘go number 2’ every few days…where do you think all that food is being stored. It will be sitting in your intestines making your stomach bloat and you look fat. Think of your body as a bag, if you constantly fill the bag with something and never remove it…the bag will fill and look full…THAT’S YOUR STOMACH!
3. Not Drinking Enough Water
Another natural diuretic is WATER. Drinking a consistent amount of water varying from 0.75-1.5 gallon of water (depending on your height and weight) this will make you pee much more.
This will in turn allow you to remove the excess water-weight you may carry, thus making you appear slimmer.
4. Carbohydrate Sensitivity
This is a rare one and does not affect many but some people have an intolerance to CARBS! This people consuming too much for them (in some cases even just 100g) can cause them to bloat up more that usual and feel lethargic and much more sluggish. In these instances, its better to adjust your diet to include potentially less carbs and higher healthy fat diet.
